RAGING WAR  was founded in 2016 in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, after the end of the band monster truck, where Ricardo Lima was guitarist and composer. After the band's dissolution, Ricardo began the search for new members for what would become raging war, about a year later.

With very clear new purposes, RAGING WAR stabilized their new lineup with Ricardo Lima on bass and backing vocals, Rudi Vetter on lead vocals, Wellington Rodrigues on guitar and Roberto Barth on drums. As each member lived in a different city, the band concentrated their activities in the city of Brusque, where they began to rehearse and perform live frequently, establishing a partnership with a local studio, where the first songs of the one who would become the band's debut album, with songs that Ricardo composed between 2005 and 2015.

In 2017, RAGING WAR  participated in the festival "Rock na Praã§a", in brusque, which resulted in a live video for "Corroding Chemistry" and an ep entitled "Live Brusque", featuring four of its own songs. The ep was mixed by guitarist Wellington and mastered by Marlon Joy, at the Undercave Studio in the city of São José, and released on physical cd and on the mainstreaming platforms.

RAGING WAR's debut was recorded, mixed and mastered by Douglas Fisher, at Tobias Blues Estúdio, who alongside the musicians also produced the work. The striking cover art, featuring a surviving child among his dead family members in a war-torn setting, was developed by the band and performed by renowned artist Marcio Aranha, reflecting the core concept of his music and the warlike power of his forged sound. In may 2018 the band released the music video for the song "The Meaning", filmed by Vanessa Boetcher and edited by the band's guitarist Wellington, and on june 6, 2018 RAGING WAR  officially released their debut album digitally and physically.

In December 2018, guitarist Wellington left the band for the entry of Rafaelzang (ex-matervoid, ex-juggernaut), but he reassumed the post in 2019. In November 2019, drummer Roberto Barth also announced his departure from the band, which continues producing without a fixed drummer.

During 2020 and early 2021, RAGING WAR started the process of composing and producing its new ep, "The Last Tree", with an introduction and 3 more unreleased songs.
