BIOGRAPHY

ALEKTO is a Groove Metal band founded in 2017 in São Paulo and currently established in Lisbon, Portugal. Their first album, "the unpleasant reality", was released in 2017 and, since then, has been considered by the Brazilian press as one of the great bands of the Brazilian metal scene. These beginnings of the project resulted in tours throughout Brazil and Europe, covering more than 10 countries, with concerts at important festivals and numerous live performances.

In 2018 the band moved to Portugal and returned to the stage in 2019, while starting the composition process of their second album. This album represented a new phase for the band. The aggression and the groove are still present, the identity remains intact and the themes built on yet another perplexing subject, the darkness of the human mind. During 2020, four singles were released digitally, highlighting the first another freak in a cage, which was attended by hundreds of fans of the band, who sent their recordings singing the chorus of the song. These recordings were later mixed and all vocals are part of the official track, also available on the album.

With the growing success coming from "Revenge", "Let's Talk About War" and "Another Freak In a Cage", adding more than 250 thousand views on social media, the band finally released their long-awaited second studio album, "Abstract Evil" on June 18th, 2021.

"Abstract Evil" introduces us to a band with even more cohesive, aggressive and elaborate compositions than before, with deep lyrics, addressing contemporary and fundamental themes for our time.
