The concept was to play Swedish-style Death Metal - with Thrash Metal riffing and a twist of melody, and they still stay true to it to this day.
The band quickly gathered notoriety and a fanbase through their intense live shows and what once started as a side project "for fun" culminated in their well-accepted first single Yersinia Pestis (2019). Immediately after Maltworm started recording their debut album, however the release was put on hold due to the ongoing pandemic and the inability to bring it to the stage the way it deserved. Fortunately, the wait has come to an end and the long acclaimed album 'Global Worming' (2022) will be out this fall - and the single The Kvlt Ov The Maltworm (2022) is the harbinger of the upcoming monstrocity.
