#BreakingNews : ANTIKOLOR Releases New Single "A.C.A.B (Aku Cinta Aku Benci)"

Antikolor, the Pop Punk unit from Bandar Lampung, is back with a bang, releasing their highly anticipated single "A.C.A.B (Aku Cinta Aku Benci)" on May 9th, 2024. Following the success of their album "Playground," released in March, the band is ready to captivate listeners once again with their unique blend of lyrics and melody.

"A.C.A.B (Aku Cinta Aku Benci)" explores the complex dynamics of love and hate, showcasing Antikolor's creativity in producing new work. The song, driven by an easy listening Pop Punk arrangement, uniquely incorporates elements of Ska, Reggae, and Dangdut. This latest release stands as a testament to Antikolor's consistency and innovation following their "Playground" album.

"We are very excited to share 'A.C.A.B (Aku Cinta Aku Benci)' with our listeners. This song is worth the wait," said Robby, the vocalist of Antikolor. Mamai, the bassist and producer of the track, added, "In terms of production, mixing, and mastering, this is the most complete song we’ve ever made." Boy, the lyricist, noted, "Like most of our other songs, this one has simple lyrics, but its production process was the result of our combined thoughts, egos, and feelings."

Fans are eagerly anticipating the cross-genre blend of Pop Punk, Dangdut, Reggae, and Ska in "A.C.A.B (Aku Cinta Aku Benci)."
Line-up:
- Vocals: Robby
- Guitar: Boy
- Bass: Mamai
- Drums: Raihan

Background:
Formed in December 2004 by Boy, Antikolor is inspired by bands like Not Available, No Use for a Name, Goldfinger, and Blink-182. The band went on hiatus in 2010 and made a comeback driven by Boy's restlessness during the pandemic, wanting to step out of his comfort zone as a worker by re-recording their old works with Mamai. The addition of new members Robby and Raihan has brought a fresh and contemporary sound to Antikolor's music while maintaining their punk roots.

Antikolor, known for their "LOL Punk" proclamation, continues to use simple and humorous lyrics wrapped in easy-listening Pop Punk arrangements. They aim to invite their listeners, especially Pop Punk sub-genre enthusiasts, to reminisce about the 2000s Pop Punk era.
