#Breakingnews : FORTSÄTT Drops Debut Single “Plasma Breath” Ahead of Upcoming EP
Emerging from Pekanbaru’s underground scene, FORTSÄTT is a rising Djent/Progressive Metal act formed in 2023 by Vino Lim (Roj) and Roy (known from Maltreat Deafen, Sivva, and Heat Monkey). The band’s name, Fortsätt—meaning “to continue” in European languages—was inspired by an unfinished project dating back to 2020, now revived with fresh spirit and a renewed lineup.
Heavily influenced by genre giants Meshuggah and Tesseract, FORTSÄTT crafts their sound with crushing precision and atmospheric intensity. All songwriting and recording are done by Vino Lim and Muhammed Royhan Okronal at Dying Ensemble Records Studio, Pekanbaru.
On July 25, 2025, FORTSÄTT officially released their debut single “Plasma Breath”, serving as a taste of their upcoming EP titled “Bakunawa”, set for release later this year.
With unwavering passion and brutal technicality, FORTSÄTT is ready to make 2025 a breakthrough year.
