With razor-sharp riffs, blistering speed, relentless heaviness, and profound lyrical depth, The Death Is Dead is more than an album—it’s a statement of principles. Rooted in the legacy of Brazilian thrash that once propelled Sepultura to global recognition, Torres fuses raw fury with the timeless influences of Metallica, Slayer, Testament, and Exodus, while carving out a distinct identity of his own.
🎨 The minimalist yet striking artwork was designed by Jean Michel (DSNS ART), setting the stage for a record that explores humanity’s deepest and most universal theme: Death—and the death of Death itself.
Recorded with co-producer Demis Kohler, who handled sound engineering, mixing, mastering, and all guitar solos, the album narrates a powerful saga: rebellion, the birth of death, the coming of a savior who defeats it, and the eternal destiny of humankind.
