Brazilian powerhouse Attanos, one of the leading names in Modern and Extreme Metal, has unleashed their highly anticipated third studio album, “Oedipus Rex.” The release marks a new creative peak for the band, blending the raw intensity of Extreme Metal with captivating melodies and forward-thinking elements of Contemporary Metal—resulting in a sound that is both authentic and unmistakably Attanos.

With an ever-evolving approach, Attanos continues to balance innovation with respect for their roots. “Oedipus Rex shows the evolution of Attanos — we are where we wanted to be. Formed in 2012 in Jundiaí-SP, Brazil, Attanos began their journey with their self-titled debut EP, originally sung in Portuguese. Over the years, they have built a strong and consistent discography that includes the EP “Chuva de Cinzas” (2015), and the acclaimed full-length albums “Renewal” (2018) and “Screaming Soul” (2021). Alongside a series of singles and music videos, these releases have showcased their impressive artistic growth and unwavering commitment to their craft.

The current lineup features Tiago Cruz (vocals), Márcio Pacheco Júnior (guitars, backing vocals), Danilo Sena (guitars, backing vocals), Michael Rocha (bass, backing vocals), and Fernando Arouche (drums).
