#BreakingNews — FORTSÄTT Unleashes Debut EP “BAKUNAWA” via Brutal Cortex Records

Formed in 2023 in Pekanbaru by Vino Lim (Roj) and Roy — known for his work with Maltreat Deafen, Sivva, and Heat Monkey — Fortsätt emerges as a new force in the Djent and modern progressive metal scene.

The name Fortsätt, taken from a long-abandoned 2020 Djent project, comes from a European word meaning “to continue” — a reflection of the band’s relentless creative spirit and determination to carry unfinished ideas into a new era with a renewed lineup.

All songwriting and production were executed by Vino Lim and Muhammed Royhan Okronal at Dying Ensemble Records Studio in Pekanbaru. Musically, Fortsätt draws deep inspiration from the titans of the genre, Meshuggah and Tesseract, forming the backbone of their sonic identity.

Now, Fortsätt officially releases their debut EP “Bakunawa” on November 17, 2025, available in both cassette and digital formats, proudly issued by Brutal Cortex Records.

A new journey begins — and Fortsätt is here to continue it with crushing precision.
