Malang-based band KENTALZ strike hard at Indonesia’s obsession with pseudo-mysticism through their bold new single, “Logika Mistika,” released on November 20, 2025. The track delivers a razor-sharp critique of paranormal theatrics, fake spiritualism, and the ongoing cultural fascination with staged “supernatural” spectacles.
With biting lyrics like “Bodoh, percaya paranormal, dukun dan mantra. Bohong, seolah kerasukan. Sungguh pembodohan,” KENTALZ condemn the illusion, deception, and performative rituals that continue to masquerade as sacred traditions—calling out how easily the public is drawn into cheap paranormal drama disguised as mystical power.
Frontman Cunk describes the song as a protest against “fake mystic practices that sell lies under the branding of the supernatural.” Guitarist Patrick adds a personal note, revealing how his own family was once trapped in such harmful beliefs—fueling the emotional weight behind the band’s message.
Musically, “Logika Mistika” leans into dark atmospheres built on minor and diminished chord progressions, supported by unsettling sound design that evokes horror without gimmick. True to the band’s ethos, KENTALZ avoid copying formulas or following any specific musical influence, instead channeling their accumulated frustrations into a raw and unmistakably personal sonic identity.
The single also marks the debut of a refreshed lineup, with Gustav stepping in on bass and Dhimas on drums—an injection of new energy that solidifies the band’s evolving direction.
Following the thematic trail of their previous work, “Ironi Frekuensi,” this new track opts for a more symbolic, darker, and sharply sarcastic approach. As Cunk jokingly notes, “Listen to this song and trust me—now you’re immune to black magic.”
