#BreakingNews : NOTHING NEW IN HEAVEN – French Melodic Death Metal Project Unleashes EP “CROSSING THE BLOODRED SEA”

The French Melodic Death Metal project NOTHING NEW IN HEAVEN has released its explosive new EP CROSSING THE BLOODRED SEA, bringing forth a blend of melody, aggression, and emotional depth.

Originally founded in 2010 by guitarist Alexandre Hoerner, the project was heavily inspired by the golden era of Melodic Death Metal, drawing influence from legendary acts such as Children of Bodom, Norther, and Wintersun. After years of musical refinement, Nothing New In Heaven finally came to life in 2020 with the arrival of vocalist Simon Cousin, whose brutal and rhythmic vocals became the driving force behind the band’s distinctive sound.

The chemistry between the two members traces back to a unique encounter — they met on a bus in Finland, right after the final Children of Bodom concert. Originally, Simon was only meant to collaborate for the first EP, but his impact on the project was undeniable, leading him to become the official vocalist of Nothing New In Heaven.

With “Crossing the Bloodred Sea”, the duo explores a dynamic and melodic soundscape — balancing aggression and introspection while weaving in classical, bluesy, and pagan elements that enrich their sonic identity. The EP showcases powerful riffs, emotionally charged solos, and a relentless drive that echoes the essence of Scandinavian-inspired Melodic Death Metal.

The EP “Crossing the Bloodred Sea” is available now on Bandcamp and major streaming platforms.
