#BreakingNews : GUYOÐ Surrenders to the Abyss with New EP "Death Throes of a Drowning God"

The depths have opened once more. Exactly two years after their first split release, Austrian blackened death-doom practitioners GUYOÐ have officially unleashed their latest sonic ritual: "Death Throes of a Drowning God."

Released on January 23, 2026, this EP marks a significant evolution for the Graz-based collective, expanding their stylistic range while maintaining the crushing, oceanic weight they are known for.

The Ritual Recorded
The EP was meticulously crafted between 2024 and 2025 at Lakewood Studios in Graz. Engineered and recorded by the band themselves, the production captures the raw, suffocating atmosphere of the "great unknown." As with previous works, all music and lyrics were birthed from the minds of GUYOÐ, ensuring a pure, unfiltered descent into their aquatic nightmare.

Track List: Signals from the Deep
The new release features a haunting structure, interspersed with cryptic "Signals" that bridge the gaps between long-form devastation:

 * Signal 00347
 * A Thousand Invisible Eyes
 * Signal 05575
 * Behind Walls Of Ice
 * Signal 14721
 * Vortex Of Infinite Despair
 * Hestia Drowning
 * Signal 79357

About GUYOÐ: More Than Just Music
Founded in 2020, GUYOÐ has quickly become a formidable force in the underground scene. They are not merely a band; they are architects of immersive rituals. Their live performances are legendary in Austria, described as ceremonies that transcend traditional stage shows through sheer intensity.

Their thematic core remains anchored in:
 * The endless depth and darkness of the ocean.
 * The duality of water’s creative and destructive power.
 * The bleak, terrifying vastness of the abyss.

Following the success of their 2022 split Alluvial Soil and their 2023 debut full-length Heart of Thy Abyss, this new EP serves as a dark expansion of their lore.
