SUKABUMI — The Indonesian heavy music landscape has a formidable new contender. Echoes, a hardcore collective emerging from the vibrant scene of Sukabumi, has officially announced their arrival with the release of their debut single, "The Breath Of Truth."

From a Chance Encounter to a Sonic Force

The origins of Echoes trace back to a 2025 music event. What started as a chance meeting between Fariz (vocals), Bayu (guitar), and Eki (drums) while watching If I Die Tomorrow quickly evolved into a creative partnership. With the addition of Gandar on bass and Ari on second guitar, the lineup was solidified on January 4, 2026.

While the band itself is new, the members are seasoned veterans of the local music circuit. This experience allows them to weave a complex sonic tapestry that pushes the boundaries of traditional hardcore.

A Multidimensional Sound

Echoes describes their sound as rooted in hardcore but enriched with a diverse palette of influences:

• Melodic & Punk: Capturing emotional resonance.

• Metalcore: Delivering explosive energy and technical precision.

• Influences: Their sound draws inspiration from heavyweights such as Counterparts, Comeback Kid, Saosin, and Periphery.

"The Breath Of Truth" (released February 28, 2026) serves as a philosophical reflection on the meaning of birth and the human role in the universe, delivered through high-octane arrangements.

Supported by Crowded Records, Echoes views this project as more than just a band—it is a space for community, connection, and raw creative joy. The group is currently in the studio finalizing tracks for an upcoming EP slated for release in the coming months.
