Ciamis, West Java — March 11, 2026 — Indonesian black metal act Amorphous have officially unveiled their latest single, “Under Black Blossom Trees,” marking a powerful new chapter in the band’s evolving artistic journey. The track serves as the first glimpse into their highly anticipated EP, set for release later this year.
Drenched in dark symbolism, the single explores death as a gateway to transcendence—portrayed through a mysterious, prophetic figure calling lost souls to abandon the mortal realm and return to a long-awaited origin. Rather than offering definitive answers, the band leans into themes of belief, fear, and the unknowable, inviting listeners to interpret the meaning through their own inner experiences.
Recorded at Damage Studio in Tasikmalaya, with drum sessions tracked at QR Studio in Ciamis, the single was engineered by Adit and Bay, and polished through mixing and mastering by Febri at Orvious Soundlab. The result is a more refined and sonically immersive production compared to the band’s previous material.
Musically, “Under Black Blossom Trees” showcases a significant progression in Amorphous’ sound. Now operating as a five-piece lineup, the band delivers richer, more atmospheric arrangements. The addition of guest vocalist Lord Daevas (Sethos) injects a new layer of intensity and emotional depth into the composition.
The single’s haunting visual identity is brought to life by Serpentchron, whose artwork captures the dark essence and symbolic weight of the track.
With this release, Amorphous reaffirm their commitment to pushing black metal beyond sonic boundaries—embracing it as a medium for deep conceptual and emotional expression. “Under Black Blossom Trees” will be available on all major digital platforms, supported by a promotional campaign in collaboration with Metalgear Music.
