Swedish rock outfit Diamonds and Guns return with their second EP, “Degenerate Nonsense,” officially released on March 6, 2026—marking a bold step forward from their acclaimed debut “Making Cash For Heartless Crooks.”
Staying true to their signature raw yet danceable energy, the band pushes into a more mature and emotionally layered territory this time—blending drama, love, and straight-up hard rock attitude, all delivered with a sly, rebellious edge. The EP was crafted in collaboration with renowned producer Tom Van Heesch, known for his work with heavyweights like Rammstein, Backyard Babies, and Entombed AD, helping the band refine a sound that fully captures their identity.
Recorded across multiple studios—including Kapsyl Studio, Momento Studio, and the band’s own space—the EP showcases a dynamic production process, featuring contributions from notable musicians like Mats Nilsson (KSMB). The result is a six-track release that reflects the band’s personal struggles and evolution over the past year.
From the explosive punk-driven opener “Pain and Champagne” to the nostalgic closer “Where We Grew Up,” the EP explores themes of youth, rebellion, romance, and self-reflection. Tracks like “Thieves on Holiday” and “Backseat Driver” introduce diverse influences—from metal grooves to pop-inspired experimentation—proving the band’s versatility.
Beyond the music, “Degenerate Nonsense” is supported by a music video, lyric visuals, a behind-the-scenes/live video, and an exclusive “Studio Diary” series documenting the full creative journey.
Formed in Stockholm in late 2019, Diamonds and Guns continue to rise following their 2023 signing with Sound Pollution and the addition of bassist Sebastian “Bassebas” Rådberg. With this latest release, the band cements their place as one of the most exciting modern rock acts to watch.
