#BreakingNews : TENGGOROKAN Reinforces Two Decades of Brutality Through “Masticate to Eyes”
TENGGOROKAN returns with a devastating statement of existence through their latest album Masticate to Eyes, officially released on May 08, 2026 via BrutalMind Records in both Digital and CD formats.
Formed in 2000 in Kediri, East Java, and led by the band’s central figure Yahnes Kristanto, TENGGOROKAN has spent more than two decades carving their name into the Indonesian Death Metal underground. With Masticate to Eyes, the band unleashes a new chapter of brutality, consistency, and unrelenting passion.
Prior to the album release, TENGGOROKAN dropped the official music video for “Axe To Eyes” in February 2026 through BrutalMind Records’ YouTube channel. The track serves as one of the main singles from the album and acts as the opening gateway into the chaos of Masticate to Eyes.
More than just a new release, the album stands as a manifestation of the fire that continues to burn within the band. It reflects their dedication to surviving and creating within an ever-evolving and increasingly savage Death Metal scene. Their symbolic transformation from the “4-4-2” era into “6-6-6” marks a shift toward a more mature, violent, and uncompromising sonic assault.
The production process began in 2021, with the band carefully preparing every composition before entering the recording phase at Volcanic Studio. Despite the crushing intensity embodied throughout the album, the recording sessions were also filled with moments of laughter, friendship, and the joy of continuing to create music together after so many years. One particularly meaningful moment for the band was crossing paths with Coach Deni Lisain of BrutalMind Records.
Musically, Masticate to Eyes draws influence from legendary acts such as Gorgasm, Disavowed, Suffocation, Pyaemia, Cannibal Corpse, and Cryptopsy. These influences are fused into a savage identity that sounds denser, darker, and more merciless than ever before.
The album artwork was created by Jon Zig, delivering horrifying visuals that perfectly capture the atmosphere of the release. Meanwhile, mixing and mastering duties were handled by Ultra Organic, resulting in a massive and punishing sound production.
Following the release of Masticate to Eyes, TENGGOROKAN is preparing for upcoming tour activities while simultaneously working on new material for future releases. For the band, the fire will continue burning in every direction.
Masticate to Eyes is not merely an album — it is a brutal warning that TENGGOROKAN remains hungry to create and far from finished tearing through the adrenaline of the Death Metal underground.
